I am going to run switch barrel on my AR from 300blk to 556.  Looking for something that will take a 12" 556 and 10" 300blk barrel.  I have a lot of keymod stuff, so prefer keymod.

What is out there these days that might be new and awesome?

The idea is neat but the execution is usually less neat.

You'll be re-zeroing optics every time you switch, my suggestion would just be a separate upper.
Less work to swap, you'll just be out the extra cost of a receiver, rail and optic, which would be offset partially by the premium for the proprietary barrel nut system.

I have done both in the past - I liked the swap barrel rig a little better even though I know they cost the same.   Last time was an LMT.

I just keep a separate zero for the optic and just spin the knob.

I would just build a separate upper. Swap out will be quicker and zeroes will never change.

Besides, it will give you a reason to eventually buy another lower.
