I have a Bushmaster M4 carbine and would like to add a new upper that will give me really good accuracy at greater than 100 yards.  I've seen some 20 and 24 inch uppers (223) and they look nice.  Reasonable to assume I can stick with 223 or should I consider another caliber?  Any recommendations?

If accuracy is all you care about, and weight/price don't matter - then Les Baer Custom makes extremely accurate heavy varmint rifles. Another good option would be JP rifles. And .223 is great out to 600ish.

Every review I've heard on these confirms this.  Absolutely insane accuracy.  And if all he's doing is punching paper or prairie dogs isnt 204 even slightly more accurate?  Don't think it's worth having a different caliber though...

they make a lot of rifles that are guaranteed .5 moa standard weight barrels. My RRA varmint 24" will shot .3 or less 3 shoot groups at 100yrds. But she has all the goodies and almost $1800 in her.
