I posted this in the "magazines" section...but after 53 views...no replies. So here goes again. Any feedback would be helpful.
I am considering ordering a Beta C 100 round dual drum in .223 caliber. I have a Bushmaster Superlight carbine 16"barrel. Which Beta C model might be the best? Bag, lube, screwdriver, loader nessesary? Is there something new going on with finishes? I wonder if PLASTIC is good? Are they worth $234-$260? Where to buy on-line?

There fun to shoot at the range , as which one is best there all the same.
One comes in a kit form with pouch and lube. I would get the kit form.

I think that everyone that doesnt have one should, the last ban they where selling in the 500.00 range. I bought one out of the EE loaded with 95 rounds for less than 200.00... Its great for wasting ammo, and photo shots

I'm not rich & famous, so I got the po'boys beta mag!

I reseached it and no one ever said anything bad about these, well...... some bitched that they are hard to load, but no one said they jam. I got one, it loaded 90 rounds easy with the loader, but I haven't fired it yet. You can't beat that deal thought. Sell the vest on ebay for $50, got the mag for $75.

I have one of those 90rd mags. They are GREAT! You can even use a LULA to load it if you trim the LULA's flared out lip just a little bit. It functions flawlessly!

The Beta is OK. If you dont mind lubeing your rounds. so that they feed corectly. As stated get a whole kit. More for fun. Not sure if I would want to have that much extra weight. I had a MWG 90 rounder. But it realy mis balanced the rifle to one side. Would not strip the first 10 rds or so to much spring tension. Persionaly I would Pick up 25 gov. 30 rd mags. For that price. Or Several HK type 2 30 steel mags. But its your money and there is nothing wrong with FUN!

I really think the Beta is the way to go. There are several factors to consider. Practicaly...the sun may rise again on the ban and then there will be the have's and have not's. If everything really goes south around here ( no offense)...I think a spare blast of a 100 rds would be practical and tactical. Seems silly to weigh down a Superlight rifle with a Beta C....but there is the added instant devastion. Then the practicool factor comes in and that throws off the balance entirely. Slug-O summed it up for me...do it for the kids!
