I have 2 completely unmodified M4geries One Stag One Spikes both have a notch  thingy on the front. Is that where I would hook up a BiPod? I want to get rails soon but money is very tight right now. Please tell me how I can mount a BiPod. Thank you. Stilleto

That is the bayonet lug.

ETA there are some bipods out there that do attach to the lug, but none I have seen are brands I would use.

Can't remember but someone makes a bipod mount for the bayonet lug! I am sure someone else will chime in with manufacturer or google it! M4QUADRAIL

You can put a rail adapter on the bayo lug, then use a bipod rail mount to go between the adapter and the bipod.  Of course this isn't the best solution for mounting a bi pod, but it is the only one I know of to mount it to a bayo lug.  I did it this way one time and it worked fine.

In conjunction with this one.

(They are probably available somewhere else, I just used this site for an example)

No worries brother, if that's the worse thing that happened today, you're a lucky guy.
If you want a good bipod mount for regular handguards, Harris makes an adapter that attaches through a vent hole in a plastic heat shield.  Best I've used for that purpose.
Lemme dig up a picture of my wife's old gat...
You can order one at http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=404111 for $13 plus shipping.
