I just received two triggers back from Bill Springfield and let me tell you, they are great...I mean these things break like a tiny glass rod.... I sent him a RRA NM 2 Stage and a RRA standard and the NM slack is all but gone and it feels as good as my tuned bolt actions and better than my expensive RRA 1911. I have always heard Bill's work is great, so I tried with these two, will be sending three more next week. Prompt service by the way, mailed last Saturday, back today and we had a holiday in the middle of the week!!!! Guys you need to try him, $32 per. 77Bronc |

Can anyone explain what he does to the trigger? I ask because I've always heard that you can't stone or change the hammer/sear engagment angles because of the soft metal found below the hardened outer metal. I've not seen other gunsmiths offering to work on AR triggers (but there are tons that can make 1911 triggers slick as glass.) So I'm curious what gives. It appears that he changes the springs and maybe lightens the hammer, but there must be something else. (I sent him an email last night, but he probably hasn't had time to reply.) I want to send him my trigger, but am just curious about what he does to them first. Thanks. |
