| My build is almost complete. I have a Bushmaster Varminter Upper with the round free-float tube and want to attach a bipod, preferably a Harris. It doesn't have a stud. What do I need to accomodate the install. Beyond drilling a hole in the tube, what else do I need to attach the Bipod? Thanks to all ! |

there are a lot of different rail mounted studs available. larue has a sweet QD mount (about $80). i've got a yhm mount on my 15-22 (about $25). had i known larue had a QD mount i would have bought that one instead of the yhm. the yhm is well made but with a QD i can switch the bipod between rifles fast.
sorry, i just saw that you posted that you have a round free float tube. disregard my useless post. sorry. |

No problem. I thought of changing to a railed free float handguard but have settled on the tube. |
