I'm looking to get a cheap bipod.  How about the basical camp on the barrel types?

Will those make my gun less accurate because they clamp onto the barrel?  Are they really "non-marring"?

How 'bout them? pass.....

Anything attached to the barrel with which you'll be putting "pressure" on the barrel will affect your POI.

Save your bucks for the Harris BRM-S, you won't regret it.

Wall-Mart  has a Harris bipod clone  for sale,  it is 39buxs,havent used one,but they look  like a good bipod.

I use a Versa-pod,  it  has worked out pretty good for varment hunting  & shooting moving targets.

Save your $$ and stay the hell away from the Shooters Ridge bipod. Had one and it lasted one shooting session. It literally fell apart and Shooters Ridge DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WARRANTY!!! hooters

If you search Google for Harris Bipod you will find a site selling the swivel bipod for like $55 and the Harris #5 adapter for around $10.

I use that adapter, it attaches firmly to the bottom handguard.
