is it considered converting to class 3 if the block is removed from the receiver in a semi ? or are the holes not the same location. I sure hate to think i might need to reinstall that damn thing after the refinish.

IF we are talking about the "sear" block found in pre-ban Colt rifle lowers, the answer is NO, removal of the "offending" item is a violation of nuthin, zero, zip, nada......
