I have a friend who wants to give me some 20 round magazines from his old AR. Being a resident of the communist state of New Jersey I am forbidden from owning any magazine that holds more the 15 rounds, (apparently the extra 5 rounds will bring about the end of the world.) Does anyone know how to block a 20 round magazine so that it only holds 15 rounds. Any NJ residents know if it's even worth it? Thanks everyone. Ron. |

Go to your hardware store and pick up some sheet metal. Ace has little pieces for brackets and such. Make a U shaped piece that will fit in the bottom of the mag body and hold the spring off the bottom. Rivet it in place, must be rivets not "easily removable" screws. I helped a friend stationed at McGuire AFB do this. Cryed the whole time

Mags were not grandfathered, when the ban was inacted it was block 'em or get rid of them. At the time I lived there it was still ok to block them by any means, temp or perm. Now I understand the order was issued to perm block them. After I moved to TX I removed my wood blocks from my mags. |
