I was able to see the prototype yesterday and its amazing. Now to patiently wait out the arrival...

2- The rear ring is virtually impossible to get a torque wrench on. If you're like me and want your high end optics set up with proper torque reduce damage, its really tough if not impossible to do with the rear ring of the bobro. Agreed, after mounting one up last night. Rather tedious really. Sure, the mount looks nice, but I could care less about hiding the screws; I'd rather have easy access to set up the torque as desired, etc.

| Just a few updates on the Bobro mounts. Without giving away too much the T1 mount sounds like it is very close to completion and will be worth the wait!!! Trust me...this thing is sick!! Also...a new mount has been designed for the EOTech XPS. The prototypes should be arriving soon and I'll see if we can get permission to post some pics. Stay tuned! |
Why would you need a mini red dot on top of a 1-4X scope, especially an Accupoint, which at 1X is more than usable as a 1x, none-magnified scope?

Alright everyone here is the update! The new Bobro QD mount for the EOTech XPS series is finally complete and our test model has been shipped to us! Jason from Gear Sector will also be testing one. Once we have it we'll post some photos! Also coming soon is a new QD mount for the Trijicon TA44 ACOG. This will be available in a lower 1/3 and absolute co-witness. The Aimpoint T1 is still being finalized but is very close. Also, plenty of new ringed mounts coming for Schmidt & Bender glass and lots more. Andrew said that they now have 5 CNC machines online cranking out plenty of product. He also said that more bi-pods were also in the works!!

"Coming soon " for the TA44. Does that mean 2-3 months, or 2 years like the T1 mount?
Not trying to bash, I have a Bobro for an M4s, just seems like they lose alot of business because you cant find them in stock half the time or it takes forever to come out like with the T1. |

Ok...here is the update! The TA44 now has a mount in absolute and lower 1/3 co-witness. The mounts are just being tested but will be available very soon! The T1 mount still has no solid date. I can say that it does exist and you won't be dissapointed!!! I hear you on the wait!! Andrew needs to do a better job of pumping out new parts in a more timely fashion but he has 5 machines operating around the clock and has added more staff to keep up with the demand. Unfortunately the demand for contract work such as Trijicon, SWFA, and a few others sucks up the majority of machine and assembly time! The new EOTech XPS prototype arrived on our door step on Friday and it is SWEET!!! We'll be running it at the range on Monday but it looks great!! We'll get some pics up soon!!!

My prototype arrived today. I wasted no time getting it mounted up and installed. I should be taking it to the range later this week at which time I will report back. Until then here are a few pictures to hold you over.

| I got mine mounted yesterday but spent the entire day at the range dropping lead and cleaning instead sending lead down range! We'll report back once we've had some time to shoot with it. Some basic observations. The interface between the mount and the XPS is rock solid! The size of the mount also perfectly matches up with the XPS and looks great! |

The mount is great but due to the design of the XPS the mount is only able to go so low. By that I mean when you look through the optic's window you just barely see the top of the iron sights. Still a bit too tall for an actual lower 1/3 co-witness. If you like the irons barely visible then this is for you. My department's policy is that the irons must co-witness with the optic. This would not work for us. If the base could be thinned out it may work for a true lower 1/3 co-witness but it would very close! The mount looks great and locks up extremely solid but the co-witnessing issue still remains.

i really like my bobro mount.....as marshall has stated, the single lever qd mechanism is great. let me tell you of something else that means a lot. i have had to contact bobro engineering on two separate occasions......once to inquire about product info as i was trying to decide which mount to buy, and recently about a replacement part request. in both instances, i received immediate email responses from andrew bobro himself. the replacement part was sent to me at no charge ( this was not a warranty issue, it was a result of brain fade on my part, along with my wife cleaning up my work area without telling me). there are a few other companies that have great mounts and service, but what you will get from bobro is second to none!!!!
