| Any reason you don't see more people running these? I have never run one myself but I have used both LaRue and Bobro scope mounts and I really thought that Bobro was a better design. Just wanted to know if there is something I don't know about them or if LaRue is just so established in this dept it has hard to get away from them. |

They do not advertise on many if any websites.
Many of the sight sponsors, just here on ARFcom that sell different brands, you will find LaRue, DD, Midwest, etc, but few sell Bobro. I have heard they are GTG, but post a question about mounts, and you will get dozens of 'MY' LaRue, DD etc. Few if any will mention Bobro. For the record I have LaRue, they work, they are great quality, why take a chance others? |

They make fantastic mounts, regarded by many as better than LaRue, perhaps due to the fact that they are self-adjusting and do not mark or otherwise gouge your rail. Their downside is their price. |

They don't spend a fortune advertising like Larue.
I am working on switching all of my mounts to Bobro's just because I don't have to adjust the mount if moving to a different rifle for whatever reason. I hate having to adjust the lever even if I just want to move the optic over for 5 minutes. I just snagged a "short" Bobro mount to try instead of my LT-105 and if it is about the same height I will be selling the Larue. |
| I'll echo the sentiments of many above me. I've had every major QD mount on the market aside from GDI, and prefer bobro. Anytime I need a mount I look for Bobro's offering first. No adjustments, simple lever, perfect (as far as a shooter on my modest level can discern) return to zero, very nicely done machining. I can't recommend them enough. |

I have 4 or 5 LaRue mounts. Good stuff by good people.
I have a Bobro mount for my Browe BCO (basically rearranged screw positions on one of their ACOG mounts to fit scope) on the way. Andrew Bobro is good people. He's kept me updated and I can't wait to see the mount optic combo. |

And changing the direction a little.... the Wilson Combat mount looked kinda promising until i saw that god awful turn-wheel it used. WTF were they thinking? http://shopwilsoncombat.com/images/TR-MICROMOUNT-002.jpg

WTF were they thinking? http://shopwilsoncombat.com/images/TR-MICROMOUNT-002.jpg So you can get it tight and also take it off without tools. If you don't like that idea, then get something else, but it isn't hard to figure out. |

I can already see that thing getting loose from bumps and brush. Even if it is against the body, constantly rubbing against the body has the potential to loosen it. Especially with how far it sticks out.
But the main reason I don't like it is because it's ugly. |

I bought a used mount off a guy in another board and it came missing some scope ring screws. Those screws were not listed on the website so I emailed asking for price so I could purchase some. Andrew answered back and said he'd send some over. Sent a whole screw set and wrench too. Mount works perfect too. I really dig the design. Only nit I can pick is it's a little bulkier compared to something from say, Larue. |

I like my bobro's mostly because they do not move, period. If I adjust my Larue's where they need to be to keep them from bouncing back and forth in the pic slot, they are basically no longer QD. That and the fact that no adjustment is needed. The ability to go between different guns without adjustment is a pretty big deal to me. |
