I just opened a DPMS LPK, to install into my lower (this is my first build).

The Bolt Catch Spring is not wound as tight on one end as the other - one end of the spring is wider than the other.
This makes the spring hang up when placing it in its home on the receiver. Is this typical or out of spec? Could I just trim a couple coils to fix it, or would that leave the spring too short?

Thanks,
MF

Ok... Maybe someone could delete this before everyone knows I was using the Disconnecter Spring in place of the Bolt Catch Spring.
Oops.

And that was after I found it funny how loose the supposed Disconnecter Spring sat in the trigger. Sheesh.
