So I'm doing a Daddy daughter project. Of coure kids want to be helpful, I mean if you can't ask your kid to help you can't say don't touch anything.
Well I won't say who but some how the disconnector spring ended up where the bolt catch.spring was suppose to go. So that brings me here.
How do I get the spring out? I've tried a dental pic,....denied. Now I'm soaking where the spring is with oil.  Short of having a new paper weight,
What are my options?

turn the spring in the direction of the coil going up.
the spring will tighten and the diameter will lessen the spring should come out fairly easy.
If not off to the gunsmith or online for a replacement.

^ This.

I am surprised it is giving you that much difficulty.  I don't know that the oil will really help.  Just need to pick it out.
