I recently purchased a new upper. As usual I disassembled it, cleaned and relubed it. My problem is the bolt won't go back in the carrier beyond the gas rings. I have emailed the company for answers but in the meantime thought I would ask the group for an easy fix as I want to shoot it this weekend. Thanks!

Push it in. It will go. New bolts can be difficult, but they will go unless something is out of spec.

oops... tried that...next question is how hard is it to replace a gas ring? One is bent.

It's unfortunate that I read this too late.  Gas Rings are very easy to change.  I was going to say, don't just force it in axially.  I got all gorilla on my Colt when it was new and bent the gas rings.  Lube it up (rings and the BCG bore) and push and turn the bolt, it'll go in.  If it doesn't, release your grip, spin the bolt a little and push and turn again.  Repeat if that doesn't work.  Eventually, it'll go in.  My DD goes in way easier than my Colt.
