New here and plan on building an AR, Is there any books on builds that anyone would reccomend. Trying to do some research before i start. Plan on shooting paper and Varmints and would like to do it right the first time. Want to stay around 1,300

I like Gunsmithing - The AR-15 by Patrick Sweeney. I fact I liked Patrick Sweeney enough to buy all of his books on the AR.
But I do enjoy a good read.

there is some great reading in the tacked threads on this site.

You don't need any books on the AR. Everything you need to learn is on this site. However, if you insist on purchasing books, then any of Patrick Sweeny's books, Black Rifle I & II & a military FM would be good additions.

Thanks for all of your input, the only reason i wanted books was to read without sitting in front of the computer all night. I'll get them on order.
