| There have been several people who have already had success with BB FA kit so this kit put together for the TK has my hopes very high. I should get my kit sometime next week since it shipped today so I am really looking forward to playing with it. I have no interest in a two position TK for use on a center fire but when Hoffman comes out with the three position TK I am going to be all over several of them like a duck on a June bug. I really need one on my 6.750" .458 SOCOM as well as a couple of others. |

| I would “assume” that they tested these specific parts with the TK and it works. Even if it is essentially the same as another kit, they MIGHT have tested these components with the TK and have gotten good results and set up the trip so things work right out of the bag. I know, “assume” and “might” are pretty iffy words but BB is known for getting things right before putting out the product, at least that’s been my experience. |

Just know that bore buddy has piss poor customer support and you are pretty much on your own once you buy anything from them. They will say everything on their end works perfectly and if it is not working for you, then you are doing it wrong. Their "certified" combos do not work. |

I got the BB TK kit today and tried it with ONLY the trip in the bolt with WW Power Point ammo. One shot, ejected and new round chambered with a dead trigger. Pretty much an expected outcome with no weight sled. Following BB directions, I put in the SS weight sled with 4 SS weights. It ripped through 7 of ten rounds in nothing flat, stove piping on a fired case while chambering a new round. The last 3 fired without incident in one burst. According to BB's self help videos, I may have to pull one of the small SS weights and put in an aluminum weight. Or, since the Mini-Mags arrived a few minutes ago, the recommended ammo for tuning, I’ll mess with it more over the weekend weather permitting. All in all though, I’m very happy with it. It works and ammo is cheap. Win win. Results here. Page 11, post # 24. |

I tried to get a TK setup working with no luck. I pretty much only shoot SV CCI. No matter what I did It was a one shot wonder. Different weights in the sled, different adjustments on the trip but no luck. I changed lowers to one with an Arc-fire and put in the correct trip. Used 1 each large and small tungsten weights, 1 small SS weight, 1 large aluminum weight and the magic happened  I will use my 2 TK's for 5.56. One weird thing that I noticed when trying to get the TK 22 setup going was that I could get some long bursts and mag dumps sometimes but only when I didn't put the stock to my shoulder and fired gun with stock tucked under my arm. I couldn't figure that out. |

I try to rip off a 5-10 round burst, stop, then resume, and when I resume, it is always on a dead hammer, and if I eject the round and start over, dead hammer after one shot. I think BB is correct, a barrel under 12 inches is a PITA and mine is a RTB 9.5 inch. I'll post up if I get it to working but I only do a couple attempts a day so as not to bother or "alert" the neighbors, even though they are several hundred yards away. I really do not want to "advertise" to them that I might have what they might think is a machine gun. I doubt any of them know anything about ARs, let alone about an FRT like the Hoffman, so I try to test only when they are away at work. |

So some advice, if you really really chose a trigger kicker over a arc fire, I will help you avoid some but not all of the pain. How I got mine to work, first use the dry fire adapter for dry firing as I broke a firing pin not using it. Use full steel weights, the steel bolt weight, red recoil spring, yellow reduced power hammer spring and CCI mini mags. I got the 16" upper kit with weights and TK trip. setting the trip pics below.   Also instead of the buffer plug I just added a buffer in front of the buffer and buffer spring. With all that said, save the trouble and get their new $499 arc fire/atrius no tune FRT upper. I wasted a few hundred rounds with the trigger kicker, yet the arc fire trip worked with no tuning. Plus it's select fire. Learn from my pain, but if you really really like frustration, my above advice might help you. Arc Fire is so much better IMO for rimfire.  |
