I've been using KG12 bore solvents for about a year now and I'm pleased with the results, but I'm always looking for something better.

I've heard alot of noise about Bore Tech solvents, what are your opinions on them?

Which do you prefer to remove copper and powder fouling?

Copper and powder fouling.

What would you suggest for carbon?

I've only used the KG12 of the two. Here's my observation. It is a copper solvent. I use #9 to remove the carbon and then move to KG12. I find the KG12 works better on modern barrels. It seems to struggle on my surplus barrels. I'm not sure why. It just seems to remove copper on my modern barrel easy, not so much on my old barrels.

You may want to try a product called Wipe-Out by SharpShoot-R (sharpshootr.com). I've been doing a lot of research regarding this product and it appears that the general consensus with its performance is very positive, even among the scrupulous benchrest shooter crowd. They offer another product to address carbon too. Wipe-Out will be a foaming type cleaner while Patch-Out is the conventional liquid type, but both are the same formula which is ammonia free and safe on bores.

I have not used this product, but will be aquiring a can of it here next week. Here's a couple of reviews:
