I don’t see that this has been discussed yet. They use an extended handguard support boss on the upper receiver where the barrel and handguard do not interface. The handguard only interfaces with the upper receiver. I’ve been seeing that on instagram for a while now too, was wondering when it would show up here. “Brand X” just seemed to pop up out of nowhere, and if memory serves correct, about the same time that the SOLGW MK1 was getting publicly released. I don’t think the MK1 uses the same extrusion/receiver to rail interface but the anti rotation tabs on the rail and the upper receiver definitely share visual similarity. Whether or not there is any correlation there I have no idea but it is a neat design, barrel nut indexing off of the shoulder of the barrel. |

Decent receiver set. Uses a barrel lockup closer to Colt's 6940 monolithic series, or LWRC'S M6 receiver. Billet receiver set. Neat. It's got a tensioner they're calling "design X" Fuck me, their branding is pure cringe. Gas block has a sealed gas tube, probably similar to KAC, if not a knockoff. it's a very small improvement. Brand X suppressor mount... The fuck is that shit? Plan B, A, or some dumb, proprietary nonsense? No-name 2 stage trigger. Probably a Schmidt. Decent, but for that MSRP, I expect a Geissele. No mention of the charging handle. $2700 MSRP with a standard BCG, and nitride barrel with standard 1/8 rifling. CHF or not, that's a major LOL for a new player, especially with no mention of the barrel manufacturer. An armad equivalent would be worthwhile, but a basic 4150 QPQ? This would be a great choice for under $1600, it's a laugh at $2700. SOLGW's MK1 is a laugh, they at least have gov't contract pricing to blame and socom adoption to market on. Wtf is this shit? |

The Colt Canada MRR would be even better (lighter in the front because MLOK), but they don't seem to want to sell that here. |
