Help, I've been bitten by the XM177 bug!

Who do I contact to get on the list for a Brick Moderator?

Thanks,

Hal

I think he's getting enough of a following now that there's never stock.  There's just a waiting list and a back order.

Worth waiting for though.

In roughly a month, there should be enough for all who want one.  In the mean time I am going to bang out another batch.  The demand has spiked recently and I wasn't expecting/ ready for that.  My apologies.

as long as 45Bravo chooses to remain AWOL you're the only game in town for these...so now not only are you getting the guys who want to be getting a moderator as close to the real deal as they can, you're also getting the guys that would have gone for one of his moderators over yours to save a few $$ and those that wanted something custom done but are tired of waiting

yes,  I would love to see you bring out a slip-over style and offer some customization of your moderator

Yes Brick, Is the inside diameter of the moderator such that it can be threaded all the way thru, and do you have the long tap to do so...I want the 16.1 OAL but with as much rifled barrel as possible...

+1 but for a 14.5" that makes it look identical to the real thing.

unless you are able to sbr, you can't get a legal 16" barrel to look identical to the real thing....you can get close but not identical

Cracked,

What's "sbr"?

Thanks,

SBR means "Short Barrel Rifle".  Barrel is shorter than 16" and the ATF has $200 of your money in exchange for a little stamp.

...also it means a several month wait while the BATFE shuffles some papers.
ETA: The NFA people are very friendly...I just don't like the BATFE in general.

in my opinion, all that trouble and expense for about an inch of barrel length is simply not worth it...

Correct me if I am wrong, but, didn't  the XM177E2 have a 16" barrell length with the moderator?

4.3 inch moderator + 11.5 inch barrel..then figure about a .6 inch of overlap for the threads and you're around 15.25" or so

I just got similar info from Tex Squirrel. Now I know what Jarrell meant when he told me that the difference would be hardly noticeable. To me it's not worth the hassle and expense for the extra little bit of difference. It is still a very close clone.

Thanks,

Hal
