While at the range today I found that my iron sights were off.  I thought I had read that bright sunlight can effect your sight picture and the bullets will be off to one side or the other.  What I cannot remember is does the point of impact shift towards or away from the sunlight if this is true?

If this is true will it affect and aimpoint as well.  Thanks.

Light has a large effect on how you use irons.  Here's a link to a great discussion on using iron sights in different lighting conditions:  www.highpowerforum.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=41

Thanks for the link, the last post had the information I was looking for.  I was off to the left and the sun was low on the horizon to my right.

Light coming in predominantly from the side will move your groups away from the light a significant amount.  BTDT in HP matches.
