I searched to make sure the topic hasn't already been discussed. Found no topics. I hope I've put the topic under the correct category. I'd like your input/opinion. Should a broken shell extractor be something I should have for the AR? Is it a common problem for me to need one? They are cheap enough to buy @$3.99, should I get one anyway? Got some extra X-mas cash so I'm trying to pick up some odds and ends I don't have or may sometime need. After I stock up on a little more ammo first of course. Thanks in advance, Glock_Meister. |

Yes, especially if you reload. I keep one in everyone one of my A2 stocks. A separated shell can certainly ruin a day's worth of shooting, or worse if you are in a situation where you actually need the rifle. The broken shell extractor is a quick and easy fix to an otherwise PITA problem. |
Well personally I try to go everywhere first, before Brownells just for that reason. They are expensive. Yes, they often have what others don't but again, I'll exhaust all other options first. Now to answer your question. I'd heard about this site on another forum. I've never ordered from them and todays order will be my first. They have some other stuff I could use. So I'll be the guinea pig of sorts. I'll let you know what I think of the extractor and site first if you want. But this is the link to the home page for the site---->>>>>>>>> http://www.cdnninvestments.com/index.html If not a live link, obviously copy and paste it in. Glock_Meister |
Well decided to check to make sure and this is the Title. "AR-15 Broken Shell Extractor" part #NCJM018 and the description is "Brand New • Removes Broken Shells • Easy To Use • Must Have Item" Here is what I'm talking about. http://www.cdnninvestments.com/arbrokshelex.html copy and paste if necessary. I bought one for an SKS and AK 7.62X39, same one for both, and one for the AR. They have them. Look under gun parts. Glock_Meister |

Hi guys, just wanted to touch base on this issue one last time. First off thank you for and to those who gave input. I had some stuff i needed/well wanted to get. I'd never heard of this CDNNinvestments but decided to give them a chance. Spent about $130. bucks and decided for a mere $3.99 part of that $130 was for 2 shell extractors,1 for the AR and 1 for the AK/SKS (7.62X39mm). Figured about the time I decide not to, I'll be the one that should have gotten one and needed it to. lol Anyhow, to whomever that thought for $3.99 it wasn't for .223 or whatever the concern/s was/were, Well if you need one get it. Because for $3.99 it is well worth it. They are the same as those that sell for $15-$20 bucks. Also, I will be ordering from this site again. Fast shipping, had it in a few days and very decent prices and product. One example I can give is for the AR they have a front night sight only(blade style), for $39.99.http://www.cdnninvestments.com/arfrnisinew.html That was one of the items I wanted and got. It was/is Trijicon and well worth $39.99. Came with 2 detents,1 in .171" and the other in .167" as well as a front sight tool. Now if I can only find the rear apert. one in night sight. Anyone know where I can get just the rear apert. one by itself, preferably in orange or yellow tritium? I'll search and check the site also. Also bought a few different mags, no crap mags. Again, Thank you for your opinions. Give the site www.cdnninvestments.com a try. G-Meister |
