Just in the past few months I have jumped back into the AR15 platform. after spending the last 25+ years on the darkside as an AK guy.
I have always owned and carried a 7.62x39 broken shell extractor in the pistol grip of my AK.. after several thousands of rounds over the years...I have never once had to use it. I even have a 20 year old one still in the packaging. I have one friend who is and always has been a Colt guy, he told me he has only had to use his maybe 3 or 4 times over the years..he only shoots Brass! so here is my question , have any of you ever had to use one in your ar-15 and what were the circumstances? I am ordering a few just to have them, how many of you even own one? sorry about the silly question, thanks for your input! |
| I am like you I have been a ak guy for years and always had a broken shell extractor on my gun or in my kit. I have been getting more and more into the ar game and keep them on hand for each of my rifles. I have only had to use one once when I was shooting some older brass reloads and had a case separate in the chamber on extraction. My buddy laughed and was like looks like you are f@#%ed and I laughed and went to work with the extractor. 3 pops later my mk12 was back in action. I keep them on had for all my guns in my kit and if I can in the grip on the gun. Prepare for the worst hope for the best, That's my moto but that's just this guys $0.02 curious to see how many others run them? |
