What is the feedback on the Brownells 308/7.62x51 20 round magazines?

Well out of a sample size of 1, with 60 rounds through it, mine has been flawless. The finish is shitty and looks like it did a tour before getting packed up and mailed, otherwise good.

All 4 of mine would miss feed in the last 4 or 5 rounds of a full mag. I sent them back for a refund and Brownells even reimbursed me my shipping costs.

Dunno about the 7.62 but the 5.56 held up better then my pmag down range.

Well, that doesn't sound too good.

I've got a few of the 5.56 versions and they have been fine.

All of this with the same sample size.

Only thing I have to add is that mine is not drop free in four lowers.

Oh yeah... Their 5.56 mags are solid... They're my go-to either with the tan follower or MagPul.

I got 4 of them. No problems in my Aero M5.

I have five that have been excellent BUT when Brownell's shipped 'em ( the first time ) some genius in shipping put the mags in a box that EXACTLY fit the magazines. Guess how long it took UPS to crush that box?

First time I was actually angry at Brownell's. I gave them an earful. I think I actually called the shipping manage and bitched....I was pretty livid.

To their credit, they shipped me five more ( double boxed and packed correctly ) pronto. Those five have been really good.

I was just checking out those mags in the new AR catalog....looks like these are a newer, more improved model over the Brownell's/MagTech mags they were offering. May order a few, myself.

I tried one in my ARMALITE DEF-10

they run fine, but you can only get 19 into the mag if you want to load it with the bolt closed.

I fixed that buy trimming about 1/10" off the bottom of the follower

there was a thread about it about a month or two ago.
