| Just about to finish my M4 build. The lower has a CMT/Stag LPK and magpul MOE stock with Mil Spec tube. The kit I got had a standard carbine buffer. The upper is going to be a BCM 16" M4 upper w/ the BCM auto BCG. Should I upgrade to a heavy buffer or will the standard be okay? |

The standard and easy answer is to shoot it with the parts you have and see how they work for you. You might be perfectly happy without needing to spend any ammo money on parts you may find you don't need. YMMV, this is my opinion, good luck with your build and post an AAR. |

My LMT M4 can run on any buffer from standard car buffer to H3 to 9mm The only reason I run a 9mm buffer is for Follow up shots & its only 25bucks |
| Shoot it and see how it feels. Its gonna be fine if you decide to stick with it.In my DI guns I use the LMT enhanced carreir,9mm buffer and wolf x power recoil spring.I like the softened recoil impulse and more positive locking and unlocking of the bolt.In the end its your choice for your reasons but standard is fine and it will work fine to. |
