Hi All,
I am getting ready to order to parts for my recent 16" midlegth build.

I have been reading a couple post here, on the 9mm buffer -I like the idea, and think I will get one.

But I understand the weigths of the H3 buffer and the 9mm buffer are almost the same but the H3 has internal "free" weights - and the 9mm buffer is just a solid wieghted buffer.

Apart from the price difference(9mm buffer is cheaper) why would I want one type of buffer over the other?

Thank's

The RRA buffer is 2 pcs with a pin that allows them to move somewhat independently. The Colt 9mm buffer is built just like a standard buffer with internal weights IIRC

You could also get a Spikes Tactical ST-X or ST-SST which are heavier still and have Tungsten weights in a stainless steel body

I run RRA 9MM buffers FWIW.

Everything you always wanted to know about buffers but were afraid to ask.
