I built an AR15...and have put 200 rounds down the pipe.  Problem is...it keeps sticking on the return and stops about 2" short of fully cycling back to fire ready.  The BCG is not returning 100% to firing position.  I have lubed it...checked for burrs or knicks catching anywhere...nothing.  Is the Buffer Assembly possibly needing upgraded?  I have a Bushmaster Upper and no name BCG.  Both were brand new.

Thoughts?

Load one round in a magazine, charge it, shoot it.  Does the bcg lock back?

Yes it does lock back with a single round, charge, fire...lock back...

Running it wet?  What are your specs?

Yes running it wet because I just thought it needed a little break in time and lube to fully cycle.  That isn't helping.  What specs are you asking about?  I am fairly new to AR's...as this is my first build.  It shoots 5.56 ammo and I have been using Independence 115gr ammo.  It's a polymer New Frontier Lower and no name stock/buffer assembly. The buffer spring did get a slight kink in it when my buddy was jacking with it...but i was able to get it all slid inside...thinking it would be ok.  Is my problem the spring possibly?

Yes, I would start with a new spring.  Kinks are never good, but the real question would be, why did it kink?

115gr?

I questioned that number too.

Sorry...was also posting a 9mm...and the 115gr defense ammo...so I mistakenly typed that instead of the 55gr I actually used in my ar. I will replace spring and hope that works
