I have a new in the box M&P 15, While putting in a new H buffer I noticed that the pin that keeps the buffer in the tuble has a little wobble (lose) play to it. My question is will this be a problem in the future. When I close the rifle the back of the bolt makes contact with the face of the buffer so there is no contact between the back of the bolt and buffer face. So I guess what Im saying is the buffer won't be slamming into the pin to cause it to enlarge the hole. Or am I just worring to much

You're worrying too much.  The only time the pin makes contact with the buffer is when the rifles is disassembled.  It's sole purpose is to keep the buffer from flying out when you take the rifle apart.

This is only a problem on CHI-COM parts.  You bought a quality firearm...no issue here.

I have a stock MP15. Does replacing the buffer seem to help with recoil, and is it as reliable?

I put a ST-T2 heavy buffer and a FCS556 muzzle brake.  It did help with recoil, but wasn't a huge different.

Try a next heavier buffer in your rifle and see if it works for you. Sell the buffer you no longer need here in the EE.

A heavier buffer seems to soften the wear & tear on the rifle, but I don't see much of a difference in felt recoil.
