There seems to be something wrong with a Bushy I am working on... The buffer retainer pin has came to a point.     /\             just like that

ANY ADVICE??????

Replace it? Should take about 5 minutes if the castle nut isn't staked

What can be causing that

The only thing that could touch the buffer retainer it is the bolt carrier as it blasts back into buffer tube (groove on bottom is supposed to clear the pin). Well buffer touches it too, but that hits it at 90 degrees - that wouldn't shave it. First I'd replace that $3-$5 pin and ensure it is seated correctly in lower and that the buffer tube is actually retaining the pin (ensure buffer tube is installed up to the actual vertical pin - some tubes have a tiny v-groove there. If they don't I typically file one in)

If that's all good, use paint pen or something similar and get the pin wet - then rack it. Check bottom of carrier to see where it is rubbing. Then start pondering what to do - likely a simple solution. Don't over think on it - especially until you determine the cause.

You can also shave a buffer detent at it's base. Thus raising it up into the tube slightly higher.

There was another thread I was reading awhile back where the person had wear spots on the buffer and detent .... turned out the detent hole was not drilled in the correct location causing the buffer to slam into the detent every time the buffer came forward .... when the upper and lower are closed the BCG should hold the buffer about 1/16" off the detent to keep that from happening.

Double check the bottom of the carrier at the U slot to confirm that the C side wall channels are square.  Thats about the only thing that will make contact to the buffer retaining pin sides to grind the pin into a point.

If the buffer was causing such, then you would have marring to the buffer face as well.

+1

heck the bottom rear of the bolt carrier for any wear marks.
