I shot a friend's AR yesterday and was reminded how annoying the spring sounds right next to my head.  Does anyone make a coated one or something to that effect so to minimize the sound?  This sounds trivial but it just gets on my nerves.

Fill the buffer tube with some quick-crete, add water, let dry overnight - no more buffer noise.
