I have one setup with rifle length gas 20" barrel 1/9 twist using an A2 rifle stock and buffer. I also have a 18" barrel with rifle length gas 1/7 twist. What is the recommended stock and buffer for a this barrel? A2,carbine or other? What would work best for 69-77 gr. bullets/handloads?

Whatever you prefer. The A1/A2 stocks will always be the best for the rifle (longer buffer tube and heaviest buffer, so buffer actually  "stalls" instead of hitting back of tube). However, a CAR provides a wider comfort zone for different styles of shooting.
Since you already have an A2 version, go with a CAR stock. The standard CAR buffer can be used due to the relatively light gas impulse from the rifle length gas system. Just my opinion.
