I am looking for a short buffer tube for my SBR build. I want it as short as possible with just a shoulder buttpad on end. Don't need any other position, don't shoot that way. Trying to keep weight and length down.

Have you seen this? It's a buttstock that clamps onto the end of a normal buffer tube. I don't think its out yet.

Lightweight buttstock from Battle Arms Development Would still be the same length as most carbine stocks fully collapsed. Have you seen the LWRC Ultra Compact stock kit? It is similar to other adjustable carbine stocks but features a buffer and tube 1" shorter than standard. If you are set on forgoing any form of adjustable stock, you could ditch the one it comes with and install the above butt-pad from BAD (when it comes out) to the short tube and have pretty much what you are looking for |
