Has anyone ever broken a Commercial Buffer Tube/Receiver Extension?

Supposedly Commercial Tubes are not as strong as Mil-Spec Tubes but does it matter?

Has anyone ever had their Tube fail?

Not personally, no.

Supposedly there was a few threads going around about someone that dropped their gun on their drive way from chest height and the buffer tube completely snapped. I'm not really sure how often this occurs or if it was a one off... But "scientifically" speaking, looking at the specifications, the mil-spec tubes are more structurally sound. I didn't want to risk it on my gun so I bought the mil-spec tube, it was only about 20 bucks more so it was worth it for me.
