I will soon be assembling an 18" midlength upper and a new stripped lower.  I want to use a mil-spec assemby.  Does anyone have a recomendation?  Are all brands pretty much the same?  (I tried to do a search but did not find what I was looking for).  Thanks

Any milspec 5 pos. buffer tube.  Any carbine buffer (carbine, H, H2, H3, 9mm) and the stock of your choice.  I chose a Magpul Moe for my AR10.  I am going to change to a milspec buffer tube and stock on my AR15 too.  Will probably get another MOE.

Check out Bravo Company, they're a forum sponsor.  I have two of their mil-spec receiver extensions and they are great.

What's the poop on stocks related to buffers (weight) and springs (length)?

Can a *carbine* collapsible stock with carbine (M4) buffer and spring be used with a 20 inch bbl rifle for example.  I know the spring steel diameter for A2's and M4's is the same but what's the armorer's take on all this.  Inquiring minds and all...thanks!
