Is it neccessary to run a buffer and spring in the lower when your using a Ciener kit??  Thanx, Jeff

For you - yes.

And you have to wear pink leg warmers whenever you shoot it.  Only you though.

Sometimes running it will eliminate some wear on the lower and help eliminate light primer strikes.

Well crap - I'm putting together a dedicated lower for my ST-22 upper and didn't plan on using a buffer - thus I just ordered a tube and stock.

Any specific buffer to consider or just a common buffer/spring combo?

I don't use one.  I have tried with and without, I cant tell the difference.  Save the money, and weight.

It will work fine without it. Sometimes the buffer and spring soaks up the hit from the rear of the 22 bolt beating on the top edge of the lower receiver. The buffer and spring also keep the 22 bolt in the fwd position giving you a firmer primer strike.
