I'm getting ready to start my first build and deciding on everything I want. My plan is for a precision/long distance AR. When it came to my buffer spring and weights I was wondering how much difference buffer weight or the kind of spring would make on action, recoil, and precision. I don’t know much about this topic and I can’t find any information on it so any help is appreciated.

What stock do you plan on running?  What length barrel and what gas system?

gas system meaning carbine, midlength or rifle. The 20 inch upper will be rifle length.

IMO the Tubb’s buffer spring is definitely worthwhile. YMMV
