[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Buffer change when converting stocks?

I want to change a standard A2 style buttstock from bushmaster over to a bushmaster collapsible stock on a bushmaster lower. It is a 16" barrel. Do I need to change the buffer style from the A2 to the collapsible?

Yes, you'll need a new receiver extension, buffer, and spring for the telestock. Your new stock should come with everything you need, unless you just have a stock body.

+1 Barrel length makes no difference. The collapsible stock takes a shorter buffer and spring than an A2.
