Ok,
So the Aero M5 is coming together. Quick question, does the standard A2 buffer work for a .308? What about the buffer and spring? Recommendations? I'm using a Luth MBA1 stock. Not sure whether I'll use an adjustable gas block or not. |

According to their website, that stock works with the standard A2 buffer tube (receiver extension). The A2 buffer tube is used for both AR15 and AR10/LR-308 rifles.
You'll need to get a specific AR10/LR-308 rifle buffer and spring. Armalite and DPMS both make them. Armalite Buffer Armalite Spring |

For the rifle length buffer system:
The rifle buffer tubes are the same for the Armalite AR10 and DPMS LR-308 (also AR15). The Armalite and DPMS buffers are interchangeable. They're almost identical in length and weight. The springs are a little different, but will work with either buffer. The DPMS springs are a little shorter, have more coils and are a little stiffer than the Armalite springs. |
