I have a 16inch DPMS M4, I recently switched, form a collapsible stock to an A2 stock will a standard rifle length buffer work in my rifle, or will i have to buy a new carbine buffer, The only reason this is a problem is that i made the mistake of selling both of the carbine buffers i had.

I cant really understand what you are saying but:

Carbine buffers in CAR extensions
Rifle buffers in rifle buffer extension.  Simple.

Carbine buffer in rifle extension=bad. Rifle buffer in CAR extension=bad.

Carbine uppers will work just fine with a A2 fixed stock with all parts

DO NOT use a carbine buffer in a A2 Stock
