A buddy and I are considering building rifles from 80% receivers and, in doing our required research, came across a page where a guy (who claims to have built over 300 guns this way and posted about it here) finishes out his receiver with only tools from his garage. No mills, drill press, vice, Dremels, etc. Just a 3/8" power drill, JB Weld, assorted drill bits and and a Handi-Klamp.
At first glance, the guy has some ingenuity because it works and his methods are old-school common sense to large degree (using a lower you already have to mirror and transpose hole locations and sizes is an example).  I'm curious as to what everybody's feelings are on this.  I have no doubts that it could work, but has anybody else done this with good results?  I'm not sure I would try it as a first-timer but if history bears out good results it might be a fun little screw-off project.

If you use THIS jig system from cncguns.com I would think garage tools would work.

You're looking at the "Mujahardeen AR15," right?

I think your biggest problem would be finding an 80% lower that's the same "80%" as the one used to make that after BATFE "clarified" that design out of business. I think you can find some on the EE here, but I don't think you can find anyone manufacturing that style, with the FCG pocket milled out.

+1 for the above,I have done 3 lowers in various stages from the start.
I used the Jigs from CNC Gunsmithing which worked great.
There are others which will work just a good or maybe even better.

Feel free to email me for info
