Almost completed my lower, went to put the rear take down pin and spring into
there designated hole and the spring would not go in.
I noticed that the hole is threaded, why I'm really not sure.
Now I'm puzzled do I try to get a new spring or drill the hole a little bit bigger to
allow the spring to fit.
The lower is from Aero Precision.

I have an Aero lower.  My rear take down pin spring hole is threaded for a captive spring mod from the factory.

Are you saying the spring will not go in at all?  Will the little brass plunger go in?  What LPK are you using?

Pics always help  :)

Make sure you are using the right spring.

Does the detent fit?  The spring should be the same diameter as the detent.

They are threaded to allow a mod where you set-screw the spring in place so it wont come out when you take apart the stock from the lower.

The detent fits and as far as I can I have the right spring.
LPK is from DSA arms.

Is the spring the exact same size you used for the front pivot pin?

Make sure you aren't using the spring designed for the safety.  If you already installed the grip - remove it and compare.

I would suspect you have the safety detent spring instead of takedown detent spring.

The hole is threaded so you can put a small set screw in there to retain the spring.  Makes it easier if using a pistol buffer tube or when changing stocks etc.

If you use the set screw option you may have to shorten the spring to a specific length.
