Hey new here & working on my second build. Got a few questions about the upper. I want a 16inch mid-length flat top. The part I'm confused about is, I want the midlength foregrip with FF quadrail system, but without the standard A2 front sight. I want to use flip up sights to mount on rail front & rear & I want the low profile gas block to be hidden under the quadrail. Do I go with the carbine length gas tube & mid-length quadrail or do I use a mid-length gas system & quadrail. Just don't want to screw up & order the wrong stuff. Anyone know where I can order a complete upper with this set-up?

  Thanks,
  Eric

I believe that if you use a longer rail such as the Troy 10" you can use a midlength gas system and still have it hidden Troy. Otherwise use a carbine length system under the standard 9" midlength rail to keep it hidden.

Yea, it's confusing!!  I will say the each handguard manufacturer has pretty good detail on their website.  I would go there.  You also need to go there to figure out how small a gas block you need.
