Hellow everyone, i was told to come here when i decided to get my own ar15, after ive done some research i decided to build my own.
I am willing to sped around 2k on the gun with 500-600$ scope. So far ive tried ar15builder site but im not sure which parts to use. I want 20" barrel, and a complete lower and upper receivers so i don't have to put it together from scratch. And i live in New York State in case some parts are not allowed here. I appreciate your help guys! and ill post some pics after i have the gun. |

It's always a brain racking process choosing parts. It takes ALOT of research, and even after building it, you'll find things to tweak. So, the easiest thing to to is start simple, and then add extras later.
If you are going to build a little bastard, the first place to start is a good lower receiver. Find it. That's the first battle. Lol The main thing after that is to stick to quality. Buy once, cry once. BCM, LaRue, Daniel Defense, Noveske, even palmetto state armory. If I were to build one for that purpose, it would have to have an 18" barrel, a free float rail ( troy, DD, or centurion), a good stock ( like magpul UBR or PRS), and finally a great trigger like a Geissele. Another thing, do you plan on .233 or .308? |
