I bought my lower receiver a few weeks ago, and today I got in the lower parts kit, and a telescoping stock. http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n76/madmunki/guns/IMG_0228.jpg http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n76/madmunki/guns/IMG_0232.jpg http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n76/madmunki/guns/IMG_0233.jpg http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n76/madmunki/guns/IMG_0234.jpg http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n76/madmunki/guns/IMG_0235.jpg And finally the lower is complete... http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n76/madmunki/guns/IMG_0236.jpg I have to say, I really enjoyed putting this thing together! The directions at: www.ar15.com/content/guides/assembly/lower/ are right on. It will be a few months before I can do the upper, because I am waiting on my ATF Form 1.... Today I dropped off the ATF Form 1 at the sheriffs office for the Chief to sign. I should be able to pick up the paperwork tomorrow, and have it in the mail to the ATF by friday, then the waiting period begins... |

Also, I didn't use any specialized tools. I used the rubber mallet to knock in the roll pins, and a small drill bit held with vise grips, to counter sink the pins. Since I wasn't using "proper" tools, I took my time as to not mar the frame. Also, I am using all RRA parts, and it went together very smooth. |
