Good evening to all

I have finally decided to build a lower reciever I've been sitting on for a year.

I have a strip lower Olympic Arms receiver. I have been searching for a kit
and have found many kits ranging from $50-$90. Is there a huge diffrence
in quality vs price?

Any recomendations for a lower kit and anM4 Mid-Length upper halve,
and who should I stay away from?

Thanks guys and gals

For LPK's I would say RRA and Stag are the most common on here. Personally I use RBprecisions LPK's and I have yet to have any probloms and I know if I do one call to Krista and its taken care of quickly. I cant comment on the uppers because I dont have a middy but I am sure someone will be along shortly to help you out.

As stated above, RRA and Stag/CMT seem to be very popular LPKs.

I've used both, and find the RRA to be somewhat nicer.  The pistol grip on Stags aren't molded as nicely (a shinier, cheaper-looking plastic).  Stag's trigger guard is a little thinner.  The safety selector and bolt catch on Stags have obvious mold lines.  The RRAs I've seen/used do not.

The difference appears to be totally cosmetic.  However, call me anal, but I'm not the kind of guy that likes to build a $1500 carbine that has hideous mold lines on the controls.

That said, both RRA and Stag have worked well for me as far as fit and function go, which is the most important factor to consider.  I've heard bad reports of cheaper LPKs not fitting correctly, which is why I like to go with a slightly more expensive kit.

On upper half.  Just get something from a reputable manufacturer that has the features you want.  Barrel twist and profile usually being the most important things to consider for most people.  Lightweight?  Gov't profile?  HBAR?  1:7?  1:9?   You'll have to decide.
