So I have been out of the AR scene for way too long I am finding all sorts of cool new stuff out there. I could use some guidance on what to maybe get I want to modify the 9mm AR with all the goodies like a nice trigger etc. 14 or 16" barrel don't really matter wanting to go all out on this one. Was wanting to do a Olympic Arms but finding out there may be more options. Thanks guys

Build your own is becoming very popular. Everything from 0% lowers to complete rifle kits, the DIY market is Fun.

If you want to start with the Big Boy of the 9mm pistol crowd, Consider building  a 9x23WIN. This in a DI. You can run standard 9mm luger also. Swap out the mag adapters and run Uzi mags. The choice is yours. RMW Extreme

Pistols are gaining in popularity also. They are a riot to shoot. Stroll through the pic threads. Even check out the SBR forum... that is growing in popularity. 9mm suppressed SBR...

Olympic conversions are somewhat rare these days, as Olympic is the only source.  Most everyone else is onboard with the 'Colt' pattern, and if you go Colt pattern you'll have many more options and sources for parts.

My 9mm rifle is one of my favorites, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I bought a yhm kit for my SBR build. It ran fine as delivered and then I took it apart to get the barrel chopped at adco.

Could not agree more. Trying to run short, suppressed, and subsonic on a 5.56x45 gun leaves you with a .22lr. Doing the same with 9mm gives you something reasonably hard-hitting, sometimes with good barrier penetration, that is cheap enough to make a habit of shooting.
