Being 6ft 5 and and building my own AR, I need more distance between my trigger finger and shoulder.
Anyone know of a extended MIlspec buffer tube or any other option?

I have a stag model 1 now but with long arms its not the most comfortable to shoot.
So as i start my build, i'd like to make it as custom for me as possible.
Any good solutions out there?

Thanks.

I am 6'3" and I shoot one click out from fully closed with my nose touching the charging handle. I do find longer handguards more comfortable though.

What is your shooting stance and do you shoot with your nose touching the rear of the charging handle?

Do you stand sideways when you shoot or more shoulders squared to the target?

If you really want a long stock, just get an A2 fixed stock.

I agree you should be more than good with a standard receiver extension and stock fully extended.
Most people shoot with the stock halfway collapsed.

Have you ever shot with an A2 stock?

An longer rail helps alot for taller people (Im 6', and like my support hand around 10"-11", so a 12" rail is most comfortable for me.)

+1. I'm the same height, but often shoot with the stock completely collapsed. I find that having the rifle tucked in allows for a very steady hold.

To try and answer your original question, I have never seen an extended buffer tube, but I know DPMS makes a spacer that mounts between the stock and the receiver.

At one time you could get a rubber buttpad that was an inch or more thick, that would fit a standard type stock.

I'm 6'4" and shoot a telestock in one on the central positions typically.  Adjusting your shooting posture will help a lot.

My AR came with a fixed A2 buttstock. It's the only thing as far as furniture that I don't plan on replacing. The length is perfect for me, and it's 100% fail safe. I'm 6ft 6in...

learn how to shoot correctly.

Just because you are tall doesn't mean you need a modified weapon, It means you probably have a elbow out/standing strait. Once you learn how to shoot in a proper stance your balance will become better affording to to "get into the weapon, which will lesson the fulcrums and improve accuracy/control.

Take a carbine/rifle classs

I'm 6'4" and I shoot with the stock half way out, my face close to charging handle.  Now if I want to shoot with my support arm straight then I could see what you are talking about.  With stock all the way out and a 14" rail I'm holding the end of the rail more the barrel.  We are big guys and have to adjust to the midgets that they call NoRMal people.  I have not seen anything other than a slip on recoil pad.
