Okay I mised out on the CDNN uppers. Spent the money on drum equipment. Funny thing is that Tama is still selling the same stuff they did six months ago. CDNN isn't. For reference here's my last post. What happened to the CDNN M16A1 uppers? I'm not going to cry in my spilled milk. I want an M16A1 upper as that was my service rifle. I have the lower components. If I wanted to build an M16A1 upper from NIB (or old but LNIB) components, what suppliers would be able to get me the parts? I'm not looking for genuine Colt. In fact a new C7 (A1 sights) upper with a LW 1/7 barrel would work. Thanks, Corey |
| Well, as you discovered in the other thread, the NOS uppers are a thing of the past for now unless someone lists one on the EE or gunbroker. At this time, no one makes a new production A1 upper receiver. You could always have one sent off to be re-anodized. As far as the C7 upper receiver, Bushmaster has that. CMMG makes new production A1 profile barrels in either 1:12 or 1:7. Best of luck. |

Corey, I'm not trying to crap on your thread, I'm genuinely curious. Where and when were you issued a rifle with a C7 type upper reciever? Beel! ETA: It seems like the last couple years a bunch of places, (Sarco, Brownell's, MidwayUSA, etc.) were selling C7s and calling them A1s. |
I got mine in April '06 and when I went to order another in June-July they were gone. +1 for the C7 ruins the classic A1 look. While the C7 has its place, it's not for an A1 clone in my opinion. |
