I have three Colt comp hbars (pre ban) and I would like to convert one to look like a M4 style rifle.
and I have a few questions,

(1)  besides the barrel ,hand guards and gas tube are their any other specific parts i will need or do I reuse the rest of the parts from the hbar?

(2) I'm considering using a Bushmaster or RRA barrel , i would like to use a 14.5" with a perm installed f/s ,  any problems using these brands with my Colt host rifle and are either one of their finnishes simular to the colts?

(3)my shooting is just for fun, plincking i'd guess you'ld say, what are their differances in using a 1/7 or a 1/9 twist barrels?

(4) i have a dpms armores wrench and i guess i need a actionn clamp?  any other things i need to know or get to do this swap?

Thank You, Brian

if you already have the carbine uppers then all you would need is just the barrel, that is if you can remove the parts without damaging them.

wrench, action clamps and a set of punches. if the current barrels have a pinned comp then that needs to come off first.
