I got a hankering to build an SBR so I started looking at parts and stuff.
The copy of Shotgun News that I picked up happened to have an article about the PlumCrazy lower. It looks like a good deal. I did a search on this forum and only found one thread referring to it. Any big negatives? As for uppers. I see that there are 14 inch barrels, 11 inch, 10 inch and even 7 inch. What's good and bad about the different lengths? I want to do this without going broke and I'm not worried about tack driving accuracy but are there any suppliers that I should avoid like the plague? Thanks. |

Welcome to ARFCOM. I suggest spening a month or more just looking around and reading what is here. There are tons of options out there and really there are few bad options but personal choice is a tough one to work out. My shorty is all Bushmaster and it has a 11.5-inch 1:7 twist barrel. Works great and I have never wished for something shorter but mine is full auto so perhaps if it was semiauto I might like something smaller but I have a SBR Mini UZI for small duty. Good Luck but you just asked me to summarize everything on ARFCOM to help you build a SBR. Just way too complicated to answer in a quick post as I could write books on the options you have. |
