[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Building an upper with POF piston system?

The POF complete uppers are quite expensive, so I have a few questions.

Can I order all the parts needed to build my own upper based on the POF gas piston system?

From what I understand, I will need a carrier, POF stripped upper built for the POF carrier, and a parts kit for the actual piston system?

I see that the POF website has piston replacement parts for $150. Does anyone know if I can purchase a stripped upper and carrier or an upper with the carrier already installed?

POF said they will not sell the gas block needed for their piston system, so I guess I will not be building my own upper.

I guess I can understand POF's point. Why would they allow people to build a custom upper the way the individual wants to? POF would not be able to charge the prices they are now.
